To those who haven’t visited Corregidor, come visit it. It will definitely satisfy the adventure seeker – feeling geek – nature lover – anti japanese – willing to play under the sun- kid in you!

1. We’re both spontaneous. Friday nights are date nights and in our half a year together, I don’t recall us planning for any of those Fridays. Sometimes we’d get really lost and have waisted a good deal of time, energy and gas and decided on learning from it and would be planning for the next Friday date, but never have we really done it. It has always been, “where to?…. Bahala na!”

2. Sports. Yes, I am a sports lover and I am thankful that I am finally in a relationship with somene that likes it as much, in fact even more than I do.

Last Friday we got to do those 2 things. We drove to Araneta amidst the busy traffic of a Friday afternoon. We also know that we don’t have tickets and was just hoping that there would still be tickets available in the ticket booth. We’re also aware that we would already miss the first game as it starts at 515 when it’s already almost 7. We’re also not sure if the game would be in Araneta as there are days when they would play at the astrodome and yes, we only wondered about that part when we have already parked and is panting towards Araneta. Yes, yes, we’re not the “thinking” kind but that’s what we enjoy about each other.

For some stroke of luck we didn’t encounter too much traffic. When we reached Araneta we were also glad to learn that the game is playing there, whew! We were also excited as we still get to catch the first game on it’s fourth quarter. But our luck ended there. The only available tickets were the Upper box, standing room only section. The 60 pesos pang masa kind. And because we’re so sossy, he held my hand and led me and my disapponted face away from the ticket booth consoling me by offering to take me to a nice restaurant for our dinner date instead. Just when I finally obliged and gave in, he did a back turn and said “hindi pwedeng masayang ang punta natin dito, tara let’s get those standing room tickets!”

And so we did.

It was the cheapest, most heart-pumping, craziest and dumbest Friday night date ever!

Last year was a kiddy party of Pizza, pasta and chicken with matching party hats, this time around since my boy is all grown up we’re eating adult style. And when I say adult I meant hardcore. The stuff that your pretentious friend would cringe about and the type that your mom would take one look at you deep inside praying that God won’t take her child yet due to heart attack. Yes that type. Serious business ito chong!

Bulalo, Kare-kare, Liempo, Crabs, Fried Tilapia, Hito and Chicken, Camaron Rebusado, Roasted Chicken, Lumpiang Shanghai. The only menu that was healthy was the Pinakbet kaya lang chicharon pa ang meat!

After all the stuffing, we played this weird yet fun game of tacsyapo where you smash the wall with plate. Written in the wall are things that a person could get mad about like ex-gf or ex-bf, taksil, politicians na corrupt, waiter na mabagal, sugal babae at alak, arthrities highblood at rayuma, lending, boss, classmate, professor! Super aliw!

I know, i know, Caleruega is in Nasugbu and not Tagaytay. But it’s just a stone throw away so for me it technically is Tagaytay -pretty much how I would say I’m from Makati when I’m really from Mandaluyong. Pretentious much? – i don’t care! Hahahaha!

Happy New Year everyone! It’s high time for new beginnings!

Noche Buena and the gift giving after that has always been a family tradition and this year was no exemption. Big deal talaga ‘to samin kaya I’ve been preparing for this weeks in advance.

Chicken Parmigiana with fries and apple coleslaw on the side (wala lang, naisip ko lang!)

For 2011, God gave me the gift of love. Best of all, he gave me the love the way i define it and the way I wish it to be. The kind that brings your stuff with pride and teases you about bringing your entire closet in your bag during the process. The type that holds your hand, wraps his arm around your waist or your shoulder, kisses you and holds your hand even in public. The person who couldn’t shut up about you when he talks to his friends. The person who cuddles and hugs incessantly. The guy that has me included in his dreams and aspirations and talks about how he sees his future and that I’m in it. The person I can get away, get lost, get stalled with and yet have a good laugh about it.

There’s so much more about this love that I am thankful for and every single day with him is a realization of how blessed I am. With no doubt in my heart, I am living the happiest moments of my life.

Thank you 2011. Thank you for giving me the best gift i have ever received to date.

And so we went.

Subic seemed like the most logical destination choice for us as we have always wanted to go northbound. Besides, depleted na rin a ng chocolate stash namin so kelangan na talaga mag Duty free shopping.

The weekend was unforgettable in so many ways but we will forever remember it for 2 reasons. First because we got stopped by the SBMA traffic police three times. Yep, you got it right, not once, not twice but three friggin times. Ang malupit pa dun is that all those three incidents happened in a span of one glorious hour! Lupet talaga! We were like, are we that stupid to not get this stupid SBMA road guidelines or are we just not welcome here?! Second reason why this goes to the books is because we planned to get a resort/hotel within the Subic area only to realize that we are already in Bataan! Blame it to the kuripot tandem in us!

These goats are just the cutest… I had so much fun feeding them!
